What do we do and learn in STEAM?
6 Week Observation of Life!
Observing the life cycle of a caterpillar helps toddlers and preschoolers understand growth, change, and the wonders of nature. It fosters curiosity, teaches patience, and introduces concepts like metamorphosis. By watching a caterpillar transform into a butterfly, children learn about the importance of nurturing life and the beauty of transformation, encouraging a deeper connection to the natural world.
4 Week Observation!
Observing plants grow teaches toddlers and preschoolers about nature’s cycles, patience, and responsibility. It fosters a sense of wonder as they witness seeds sprout and develop into full-grown plants. This hands-on experience introduces them to basic concepts of biology, nurtures their curiosity, and encourages a connection to the environment, laying the foundation for lifelong learning and care for nature.
Ice Cream In A Ziplock Bag!
Creating ice cream in a bag teaches toddlers and preschoolers the basics of measuring and following a recipe, introducing them to the science of combining ingredients for a delicious result. This hands-on activity strengthens their understanding of cause and effect, encourages focus and patience, and is incredibly fun—especially when they get to enjoy the sweet treat they made themselves!
